Passed Level 1 Canoeing
Every July, I go to camp Oconto and I hope to be a counsellor one day. To be a counsellor, I need to pass all four levels of Canoeing and I’m now just three levels away from my goal!

My partner, Maren, and I had to work as a team on several tasks but the most challenging task was to canoe from camp to an island 500 meters away each taking turns in the stern.

If our canoe didn't travel in a straight line we wouldn't have passed; it was tough but we made it as a team!

Daily French with Duolingo
For the last 47 days, I have been completing 5-minute French drills on Duolingo which totals 235 minutes of French training.
I’m really interested in travelling and that is my main reason for wanting to speak multiple languages. I decided to start with French because I’ve enjoyed learning it in school and I think it would be helpful to speak both of our national languages.

In the future, I'm also hoping my parents will take me to Paris as a reward for becoming fluent in French!

Competed in 1st OTA Tournament
I’ve been taking tennis lessons since I was only 3 and I have competed in lots of club championships, but this summer was the first time I competed with kids across Ontario.

It was a great learning experience to play as a visitor at another club and to play against a group of girls who were older than I am.

Made New Friends!
I am a very social person and I love getting to know more people in my class.
This year my friends were split between two classes and I had a lot of new kids in my homeroom which gave me the opportunity to get to know a new group of classmates.
Bonding with others is always awesome; the more the merrier!
